EPF Members’ Investment Scheme

Saving for your retirement has never been easier. The Employee Provident Fund Members’ Investment Scheme, also known as the EPF MIS is an ongoing initiative that encourages eligible members to strengthen and diversify their retirement portfolio by means of using a pre-determined percentage of their savings from EPF Account 1 to invest with appointed fund management institutions.

Even better, members can do it online via the EPF i-Invest facility within the i-Akaun (Member) platform now!


Malaysians / Permanent Residents / Non-Malaysians (registered as EPF Members before 1 August 1998)

Below 55 years of age

Have sufficient savings with the EPF

Application via counter/FMI's agent or I-Akaun (Member)

  • Citizens of Malaysia who made the withdrawal under the National Lease Withdrawal prior to August 1, 1995, and subsequently opted to re-contribute with the EPF are also eligible
  • Members aged 55 years and above, have the option to invest part of their savings in Akaun 55 (otherwise known as Akaun Emas). This withdrawal is not part of the Members Investment Scheme. Applications for such withdrawal, can be made through I-Akaun (Member).
