Luno, Halogen Capital and Kenanga Investors explore Ringgit-pegged stablecoin for tokenised fund settlement.
Kenanga Investors Berhad joined Luno Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and Halogen Capital Sdn. Bhd. in a strategic collaboration to explore the use of a fully reserved, Ringgit-pegged stablecoin (UMYR) as an on-chain settlement instrument for tokenised money market funds. The initiative aims to demonstrate real-time Delivery-versus-Payment (DvP) settlement for fund subscriptions and redemptions, reducing the settlement windows that currently apply on conventional rails.
The collaboration was formalised by Datuk Wira Ismitz Matthew De Alwis, CEO and Executive Director of Kenanga Investors, Scarlett Chai, Country Manager (Malaysia) of Luno Malaysia, and Hann Liew, Founder and CEO of Halogen Capital, at the Luno Institutional Digital Asset Conference 2026.
