Kenanga Investors Berhad ("KIB")

Kenanga Investors Berhad ("KIB") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad, the largest independent investment bank by equity trading value and volume#. KIB is licensed to perform regulated activities of fund management dealing in securities (restricted to unit trusts), investment advice, financial planning, and dealing in Private Retirement Schemes ("PRS") under the Capital Markets and Services Act ("CMSA") 2007. KIB provides investment solutions ranging from collective investment schemes, portfolio management services as well as segregated private mandates and alternative investments for retail, corporate, institutional clients and high net-worth individuals.


KIB prides itself on its reputation for its consistently top performing funds. Most recently, KIB won the “Best Mixed Asset Award – Malaysia Pension” and “Best Equity Award – Malaysia Islamic” titles at the Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards 2020. The Kenanga Syariah Growth Fund was awarded “Equity Malaysia – Malaysia Islamic” for 10-years while the Kenanga Diversified Fund was named “Mixed Asset MYR Flexible – Malaysia Pension” for 3-years and 5-years. The Kenanga Syariah Growth Fund was also named “Malaysia Best Equity over 10-years” at the Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards 2020 for Global Islamic Markets. The Hong Kong-based Asia Asset Management's 2020 Best of the Best Awards awarded KIB under the following categories, Malaysia - Best Equity Manager, Malaysia Best House for Alternatives, Malaysia CIO of the Year and Malaysia – Fund Launch of the Year. The FSMOne Recommended Unit Trusts Awards 2019/2020, named Kenanga Growth Fund (“KGF”) as the “Most Outstanding Unit Trust for 10-Years”. KGF also won “Core Equity – Malaysia” for the 10th consecutive year while Kenanga OnePRS Conservative Fund received the “Private Retirement Scheme – Conservative” award.


For the fourth consecutive year, KIB was affirmed an investment manager rating of IMR-2 by Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad. The IMR rating on KIB reflects the fund management company’s well-established investment processes, sound risk management practices and strong operating track record. MARC also highlighted that KIB’s average one-year, three-year and five-year annualised returns for its top 20 largest unit trust funds outperformed its benchmarks in 2019.


As at 31 December 2019, the Management Company manages 38 unit trust funds, 2 private retirement schemes (consisting of 6 core funds and 1 non-core fund), 28 wholesale funds and other funds from government agencies, pension funds, insurance, corporate and individual clients with a total fund size of RM12.6 billion.

Kenanga Islamic Investors Berhad ("KIIB")

KIIB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kenanga Investors Berhad. In line with Kenanga Investors Group's business plans for an Islamic fund management arm, KIIB applied for and received its Islamic fund management license from the Securities Commission in April 2012. The company is licensed to perform regulated activities of fund management under the CMSA.


KIIB is focused on exclusively providing Shariah-compliant investment products to both domestic and regional markets. The company provides Islamic investment solutions in portfolio management services and is currently the appointed external fund manager for Kenanga Investors’ designated Islamic mandates.


KIIB was also affirmed an investment manager rating of IMR-2 by Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad for the fourth year running. The rating reflects KIIB’s well-established investment management process, underpinned by its prudent risk management practice.


As at 31 December 2019, the total asset under management of KIIB stands at approximately RM1.3 billion.


Libra Invest Berhad (“LIB”)

Libra Invest Berhad ("LIB"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kenanga Investors Berhad, is a fund management company incorporated on 27 September 1995 and licensed under the Capital Markets and Services Act, 2007. Authorised capital and paid-up capital are RM10 million and RM6.5 million respectively. LIB aims to assist investors in achieving their medium to long-term financial goals through three main core values i.e. performance based culture, personalized client services, integrity and ethics.


As at 31 December 2019, LIB manages 1 unit trust fund and 1 wholesale fund with a total fund size of RM3.2 million. LIB's clients include pension funds, public listed companies, state funds, high net worth individuals and retail investors.
